Well I need to update…yes I am keeping with my side of the deal. I believe my last proper post was April 19th…just over a month ago so what wonderful events have happened to me in Adelaide since then?
I have officially dropped international studies, therefore meaning a single journalism degree with NO 4th year. Yes, a year has been cut off my uni degree which is tops and no longer must I suffer hearing about such interesting topics as “what is a realist and why don’t people like realists”. This also means I get to do a sub-major in children’s literature and I’m very excited about that, in one of my subjects I get to study children’s books- how very thrilling! Mais c’est triste, I will no longer be studying French…oh well , small price to pay for a year off my degree!
Last Saturday night was Katie’s 21st which was quite lovely. I was very formal and beautifully decorated…many, many hours of work must have gone into preparing it!
Due to Andrew taking the only photos on my camera from the night, my photos are void of humans and I just ended up with a wonderful reminder of what the table looked like that night! (Nb…this may be an exaggeration, there may have been a couple human photos too)
The following morning was JY, which is sadly lacking girls at the moment but is still lots of fun. The rest of Sunday was set aside for the oodles of homework I have piled up! However I wasn’t as productive as I would have liked to have been due to the mesmerizing middle of the day movies that were on as I typed up my debate… bad idea having a laptop that can easily be moved in front of the television! These fabulous movies included Like Mike… ah the ending was so happy it bought a tear to my eye, and My date with the President’s daughter… addictive but terrible.
This week so far has been busy… as usual… but none the less good. I finally have some frequent secretary work which is great and crammed into my Monday mornings before uni… making Mondays kind of busy. Then Tuesday after uni, I was at Oxfam from 1:30- 5:30pm… feel free to drop by, its just on Charles St in town… would love to see you all!!
Oxfam is great but there are so many beautiful things there, it’s hard to volunteer there and not buy everything!!
Now Wednesday… tonight is always so busy. Every Wednesday I coach Netball (btw these girls are great, very easy to coach and really friendly), then tutor these two boys in year 3 stuff…they’re such champs… its really fun and lol, I can revise my timetables!
Then there’s JY meeting to follow… busy day but a really enjoyable way to earn some money.
Well, I think this is a good enough update… I know it might not be that interesting but hey, it’s 501 words long… pretty good effort!
Cheerio guys!!!
Love Lisa
