"Yesterday is history tomorrow is mystery… today is a gift!"-Eleanor Roosevelt

Perservance = necessary to achieve goals. My ultimate occupational goal is to be an author and during these holidays, I have finally finalised a plans for a novel and begun writing it. Whether or not I actually write the novel fully and decide to try to get it published, at least I have started. Whether my first novel (ooo how good would that be!) is with this novel idea or another, at least I'm moving forward. This novel planning wasnt so good for my uncle's poor girlfriend over Easter as we shared a room and I spent whole night sleep talking to myself about how I was going to write the novel!

I would have to say a definite benefit of the uni life is the wonderful amount of holidays. I was barely there for 6 weeks and all of a sudden it’s the holidays!Holidays, glorious holidays! Though not really escaping from the stress of work for uni is rather lenient in assignments and my other three jobs are very irregular, the holidays allowed me to do some things I’ve been meaning to do for ages.

For the Easter break, my family, minus our somewhat ‘adopted’ exchange student who was jetlagged from a 5 day trip to America, headed down to Victor for a weekend with the relatives. Undoubtedly exercise makes you feel good and my terribly poor fitness was put to the test, keeping up with my cousins running along the beach, playing chasey in the sand dunes and kayaking, so much so that by the end of the weekend, I could barely move! But there were great benefits-the excess exercise allowed for an enormous amount of chocolate to be consumed.

Another reason why I love the holidays is because you have time to do whatever you want. This morning while flicking through these old magazines my Grandma gave me , I was compelled to paint a picture of one of the little girls as it reminded me of a picture I had seen of Mum when she was a child. As you can see by the photograph, I sort of stopped before I actually finished and havent done much art lately so am a bit rusty but I love just sitting down and painting! I highly recommend to try it!

Happy holidays!- I hope your all enjoying them!
Lots O' love,
Leesah

if the novel's going to be written anything like how you write in your blog, i can't wait for it!!! and thats a pretty decent painting too, you are very talented.
uni holidays are great, you're at uni for less than half the year for starters!!! believe me, you'd wish there was more time to spend working once you've been there a few more years.
i wish we had a bigger 'family', it gets a bit boring spending all the xmas's and easters with the same 2 groups, but i bet i'd whings if there were more...
anyway, way too long comment, thanx for updating :) cya soon leeeeeeeesah
